Two more persons have been charged with murder in the stabbing death of a rugby player outside a nightclub.
Tia Taylor, 21, of Northey Road, and Chelsea Powell, 22, of Granny’s Green, both of Bodmin, are scheduled to appear before Truro Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, according to Devon and Cornwall Police.
The accusations stem from the death of Michael Allen, 32, who was allegedly attacked near Eclipse in Bodmin’s Victoria Square.
Jake Hill, 24, of Jubilee Terrace, Bodmin, was originally charged with one crime of murder, three counts of attempted murder, and two offences of Section 18 intent to cause grievous bodily injury.
He is scheduled to go on trial in November at Truro Crown Court.
At around 3.15 a.m. on April 30, emergency services were summoned to reports of a person with a knife and many people with possible stab wounds near Eclipse.
Mr Allen, a member of the Bodmin Rugby Club, died at the scene, while seven others were injured and transported to the hospital for treatment.
Mr. Allen was characterized by his family as “a much-loved son, brother, grandson, and uncle who loved his dogs.”
