Tinubu to submit ministerial list to Senate within 48 hours – Bamidele

The Senate Leader, Micheal Opeyemi Bamidele, has declared that the Senate will receive the long-awaited ministerial list within the next 48 hours.

He made this revelation in Abuja during his 60th birthday anniversary lecture and book presentation.

President Bola Tinubu personally told Bamidele of this event during a phone call to wish him a happy birthday.

He claimed that President Tinubu informed him that he would be unable to attend the birthday speech owing to a crucial communication that he needed to submit to the Senate within the next 48 hours.

The ministerial list, which will explain the individuals nominated for ministerial positions in the government, is expected to be included in this letter.

Prof. Toyin Ogundipe, former Vice Chancellor of the University of Lagos, advocated for political office holders to limit the number of vehicles in their convoys as a display of empathy to the Nigerian people during these difficult times in a lecture.

He emphasised that agencies such as the Vehicle Inspection Officers (VIO) and the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) should not be part of President Bola Tinubu’s and Vice President Kashim Shettima’s entourage as long as the police presence is sufficient.

“There is a need for our leaders to reduce the number of vehicles in their convoy so that Nigerians know you feel their pains,” Ogundipe added.

“There is nothing VIO, Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) are doing in the President and Vice President’s entourage once police are in the convoy.”
