‘The Devil is a liar,’ says Banky W in response to charges that he cheated on his wife, Adesua.
Bankole Wellington, nicknamed Banky W, a popular Nigerian singer-turned-clergyman, appears to have replied to the cheating claims leveled against him.
According to DAILY POST, a notorious blog called Gistlover said that the singer is cheating on his wife, actress Adesua Etomi-Wellington, with his former signee, Niyola.
But, speaking to his audience at the Waterbrooks church in Lagos on Sunday, the rapper-turned-preacher claimed that the rumors were spread by satanic elements who didn’t want his congregation to hear his Sunday sermon.
He declared the devil to be a liar while assuring his congregation that God was in charge.
“The devil really didn’t want you to hear this message,” he explained. In fact, he didn’t want us to participate in the series at all. There was an attack at the start, but now we’re here. However, the devil is a liar. And God is in charge.”
Banky W thanked his wife, Adesua, for her support during his struggle with porn addiction while preaching on the topic “The Prison Of Pornography.”
“If I don’t thank God for anything else in my life, I thank God for this woman [pointing at Adesua],” he remarked.
