Shehu Sani to Davido: Delete the offensive video, apologise to Muslims, and move on.

Senator Shehu Sani, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, has advised Davido to erase his latest inflammatory video tweet.

The musician came under fire on Saturday after tweeting a controversial video of his signee, Logos Olori’s new track ‘Jaye Lo,’ on his official account.
Several Muslims had given Davido a 24-hour deadline to erase the post.

The singer, however, appears to have ignored the uproar, as the video showcasing some sensitive Islamic content is still on his page.

In response, Sani, a former legislator, rushed to Twitter on Sunday to provide counsel to the musician.

According to him, Davido should have removed the text when the tweet became contentious and his supporters took offence.

“As an artist or entertainer, if a piece or portion of your work offends your fans, especially if it concerns their culture, faith, or religious beliefs, it will be most honourable for you to delete or edit that portion, apologise to them, and move on,” he said. I’m here to discuss Davido. This is my personal opinion.”
