Ortom denies being nominated for ministerial appointment by Tinubu

Samuel Ortom, the immediate past Governor of Benue State, has denied claims that President Bola Tinubu has nominated him for a ministerial position.

Netizens have been spreading rumors that the former governor was among those who made the long-awaited ministerial list.

The governor, however, denounced the allegation as false and deceptive in a statement published by his media aide, Terver Akase, and asked the people to reject it.

The statement adds, “The immediate past Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom, has been drawn to social media speculation that he has been nominated for a ministerial appointment.”

“We urge the general public to disregard the report because it is false and misleading.”

“Chief Ortom is grateful to those who took the time to call and confirm the information.”
