NAFDAC, the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration, has urged Nigerians not to buy Whippy Real Mayonnaise.
Prof Mojisola Adeyeye, NAFDAC’s Director General, announced this in a notification issued on Monday.
SNF FOODS Limited, Onitsha, Anambra State, according to Adeyeye, is the corporation responsible for the selling of the unwholesome goods.
She stated that after a thorough scientific study of the product, the FDA determined it was unfit for human consumption.
“If you or someone you know has consumed this product or has experienced any adverse reaction/event as a result of consumption, seek immediate medical advice from a qualified healthcare professional.”
According to NAFDAC, “public members are encouraged to report any suspicion of distribution and sale of unwholesome packaged food products to the nearest NAFDAC office.”
