KTSG Raises Committee to Investigate Kidnapping and Murder of Dabaibayawa Village Head

Enraged by the kidnapping and subsequent murder of the Dabaibayawa Village Head in Batagarawa Local Government Area, the Government of Katsina State has set up a committee to investigate the flagitious acts. The committee would be chaired by Deputy Governor, Mallam Faruk Lawal Jobe.

While inaugurating the committee in his office, Jobe stated that the State Governor, Mallam Dikko Umar Radda, has approved the formation of the committee and directed that it should investigate the said kidnapping and murder and find out the culprits involved in the acts.


Furthermore, Jobe said that the committee comprised representatives of the Police Force, State Security Service, and Nigeria Civil Defence Corps. Others include the Ministry of Justice, Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, and the Katsina Emirate Council. He also clarified the committee has two weeks within which it would submit its report for subsequent consideration by the Government.

On behalf of the Katsina Emirate Council, Sarkin Fulani Hamcheta, Alh Lawal Idris Bagiwa, expressed his gratitude to Governor Mallam Dikko Umar Radda for constituting the committee and assured his readiness to work with the committee to achieve the objectives behind its formation.
