The Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs Dr. Nasiru Mu’azu Danmusa gave him the assurance while conducting a meeting with stake holders from the front line Local Government areas facing Security Challenges.
Dr. Nasiru Mu’azu said the State Government has approved for the immediate recruitment of one hundred Vigilantes from each of the eight Frontline Local Government area.
He assured that the State Government will provide an allowance to all the Vigilantes in order to encourage them.
He also assured that an armoured Buffalo Bullet froop Vehicle will soon be provided to all the Frontline Local Government areas for use by the Security Agents.
These according to the Commissioner are in addition to substantial number of Hilux Vehicles that will equally be provided in each of these local government areas while the government will also provide fuel and logistics to support the operation.
The Commissioner then encouraged the stakeholders of these affected areas to introduce the habit of conducing meetings between bordering local governments and discuss ways of curtailing the Security menace.
The stakeholders from Danmusa, Kankara, Safana, Faskari, Sabuwa, Dandume, Batsari and Jibia Local Government areas have attended the Special discussions with the Security Commissioner.
On behalf of the stakeholders that attended the meeting, the Kanwan Katsina Alh. Usman Bello Kankara assured their readiness to support all the policies introduce by the government especially as it affects the Security Sector.
The stakeholders includes the Local Council’s Chairmen, District Heads, Imams, Police and other Security operatives from each of local governments.
