Immigration Salary Employees of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) are not only entitled to a monthly wage, but also to a variety of bonuses and benefits. The Nigeria Immigration Service ranks are comparable to those of other paramilitaries such as the NDLE. The ranks are assigned based on the rank and qualification of the individual officers.
What are the levels of the immigration service?
The NIS has a rank structure that is remarkably similar to that of the Nigerian Armed Forces. In general, the Nigerian Immigration Service has eight positions, beginning with “Passport Officer (PO)” and ending with “Comptroller General Immigration Service (CGIS)”. Immigration Salary
Graduate
- In addition to allowances and other incentives, the typical wage for a Nigerian graduate in the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) is roughly N150,000 per month.
Others
- Immigration Assistant III (IA-3), CONPASS 03, and those working with the SSCE at the Nigeria Immigration Service are all examples of persons hired with the SSCE at the Nigeria Immigration Service. Their monthly basic wage is N39,051.55.
- The monthly pay for an Assistant Inspector of Immigration (AII) COMPASS 06 with NCE or ND is N46,573.33.
- Inspectors of Immigration (II) COMPASS 07 are paid N62,633 per month as professionals (Nurse).
- Senior Inspector of Immigration (SII) COMPASS 08 employees in the Nigeria Immigration Service are paid N114,515 per month.
- Assistant Superintendent of Immigration II (ASI-2) COMPASS 08, who are recruited with a University Degree Certificate, are paid N114,515 per month by the Nigeria Immigration Service.

Training Period for the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS)
NIS performs a physical training programme in several training camps that normally lasts six months.
Recruits go through intensive physical training sessions during training to improve their physical fitness, endurance, and general resilience.
The Nigeria Immigration Training Allowance ranges from N20,000 and N35,000 per month. Please keep in mind that you are only eligible for this training stipend while you are in training, and it will be terminated once you graduate and become an immigration officer.
