Dwayne Haskins of the Pittsburgh Steelers died in a vehicle accident in South Florida.

Dwayne Haskins, the quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers, died Saturday morning in South Florida after being struck by a vehicle, according to his agency.
When a car collided with Haskins, 24, he was apparently exercising with other Steelers quarterbacks, running backs, and wide outs.
Since 2019, the former Ohio State quarterback has been in the NFL, first with the Washington Redskins and subsequently with the Pittsburgh Steelers as a third-string quarterback. Haskins was selected 15th overall in the 2019 NFL Draft, but he struggled after he was given the starting role with the Washington Redskins.
Prior to joining the league, he guided Ohio State to the Rose Bowl in 2018, defeating Washington in Urban Meyer’s last game as head coach. When J.T. Barrett was injured in the middle of a game at Ann Arbor in 2017, he came off the bench to lead the Buckeyes to a victory against Michigan.
After that, Haskins seemed to be on his way to greatness, but Washington had reservations about his work ethic and frequent COVID-19 infractions when he was in the NFL. Late in the 2020 season, he was benched for Taylor Heinicke and eventually dismissed..
He was signed by the Steelers in 2021 as a third-string quarterback behind Ben Roethlisberger and Mason Rudolph.
Last season, he didn’t play and was inactive for all but one game. READ MORE
