After a 1-1 draw with Ghana, the Super Eagles of Nigeria failed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, causing tension and turbulence at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja.
Angry Nigerian fans let their emotions get the best of them, storming the stadium after the game ended, chasing away all of the players, and vandalizing the facilities.
Meanwhile, angry reactions erupted on Nigerian social media following the match, as many Nigerians expressed their disappointment at the Super Eagles’ failure to secure a place in the 2022 World Cup.
