Chris Rock declines to press charges against Will Smith after getting hit in the face at the Oscars.

After getting smacked in the face by Will Smith at the Oscars on Sunday, comedian Chris Rock allegedly declined to file a police report.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Rock, 57, has declined to submit a police complaint.

‘LAPD investigative entities are aware of an incident between two persons during the Academy Awards presentation,’ the LAPD said in a press release following the show’s conclusion on Sunday.

‘In the event, one person slapped another. The individual involved has declined to file a police report. If the implicated party wishes to get a police report at a later time, the LAPD will be ready to prepare an investigation report.’

Should Rock change his mind, Smith, 53, may still face a misdemeanor battery charge.
