Saraki responds to Adeleke’s victory in the Osun PDP primary.

Senator Ademola Adeleke, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) candidate in the July 16 governorship election, drew a reaction from former Senate President Bukola Saraki.

Senator Adeleke was proclaimed the victor of the PDP primary by Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, the Chairman of the Osun Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primary election on Tuesday.

Adeleke was elected to the party’s gubernatorial ticket with 1,887 votes.

Ewhrudjakpo, who presented Adeleke with the PDP Certificate of Return, said that 1,916 delegates had been authenticated, with 24 invalid votes.

Senator Adeleke was congratulated on his win by Senate President Bukola Saraki, who went to Twitter.

“I congratulate Senator Ademola Adeleke, my dear friend, on his win in today’s PDP Osun primary!” he said on Twitter.

Sanya Omirin earned four votes, Dele Adeleke received one, Dotun Babayemi received zero, Akin Ogunbiyi received zero, Fatai Akinbade received zero, and Dele Adeleke received one vote.
