The NNPP is adopted by Kwankwaso’s organization, and a convention is held on March 30.

The National Movement (TNM), led by former Kano State governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has adopted the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and scheduled their national convention for March 30, 2023.
The NNPP interim national chairman, AVM John Ifeimeje (rtd), stated after a meeting that began at Kwankwaso’s residence in Maitama around 2 p.m. and ended in Gwarimpa late at night with all state coordinators and national leaders in attendance, that they adopted the party because of the similarities they share.
Members of the TNM have adopted and agreed to join the NNPP due to the overwhelming similarity between the party and the TNM in terms of their aims and objectives, mission and vision, core values and core beliefs, as well as the shared patriotic tendencies of both the NNPP and the TNM’s leaders and members.
It is appropriate at this time to inform Nigerians that the fusion of Nigeria’s two leading patriotic fronts, the NNPP and the TNM, has already occurred. The Party has already established Caretaker Committees at the state and national levels, tasked with organizing congresses and conventions to elect substantive executives, among other things.”
